Getting involved is easy

NBCERT provides an excellent opportunity for the citizens of New Braunfels to prepare for and respond to emergencies and natural disasters.

Supporting your community

In a disaster, civilian support is better received by the community when they are properly trained. NBCERT is an avenue for people to get trained and be involved in the process – helping to protect the community, as well as their family. A better prepared community will recover faster and the long-term effects are not as devastating.

If a disaster overwhelms or delays the city’s first responders, NBCERT members can be called upon to assist. Their skills can assist in saving lives and property until additional help arrives and can continue assisting first responders in a variety of ways.

And, while you aren’t required to join the team to take the free training, we’d sure like to have you join the NBCERT family.
