Training

NBCERT offers the FEMA G-317 Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Basic Course multiple times a year,  The training is free and open to the public to sign up.  We encourage all members of the community to take the CERT Basic Course for your own personal preparedness knowledge. Families with children 13 or older are encouraged to take the course together.   The training is a prerequisite for joining the NBCERT and NBSAR  Teams.  After joining the team meets and trains monthly on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.

The NBSAR Team requires additional National Association of Search and Rescue training.  NBSAR meets monthly on the 2nd Saturday of the month to train and practice the skills needed to be ready to assist in a search mission.
